The condensed water that stays on the surface of the fins for a long time absorbs oxygen, sulfur, nitrogen, etc. in the air, forming corrosion cells on the surface of the fins, accelerating corrosion. The corrosion products gather and stratify on the surface of the fins, reducing the heat exchange efficiency.
The superheater is not inside the furnace. If it needs to be repaired, just open the shell plates on both sides of the superheater for repair.
Common superheaters are located in the high-temperature flue gas section (the flue gas temperature is above 700℃). Due to the location, the superheater is difficult to repair. The condenser and flue outside must be removed first, and the superheater can be repaired or replaced after it is removed as a whole. The repair time is long and the maintenance workload is large. If you are not careful, high-temperature flue gas leakage will occur.
